In 2012, Tony Danza returned to New York City with a renewed commitment to give back to the community that shaped him, seeking meaningful ways to support and inspire local youth. His volunteer work soon led him to an inner-city youth development organization, where he met artist and community leader Brian D. Hills. What began as a shared passion for arts education quickly evolved into a powerful partnership. Together, they created transformative opportunities for young people across New York, using the performing arts as a vehicle for confidence, creativity, and personal growth.
Over the next decade, their programs flourished — reaching more students, expanding into new communities, and cultivating a growing network of mentors and supporters. By the summer of 2022, their collaborative vision had outgrown the limitations of any single organization, leading to the creation of Stars of Tomorrow Project — a dedicated nonprofit built to amplify their mission and continue uplifting the next generation of artists and leaders.
